The Kisumu Hotel Managers Group

This group was formed and registered in the year 2011 as a principle umbrella group that brings together hospitality top and middle level managers in hotels, lodges, restaurants and other related firms in western Kenya tourism circuit: Kisumu.

Our Main objectives

Kisumu Hotel Managers Group has 3 main objectives as listed below;

1. To promote hospitality industry network and excellent in Kisumu town, western Kenya and the whole republic.
2. To consolidate resources with a view of investing in hotel industry in Kisumu.
3. To protect the welfare –wellbeing- of members especially in their line of duties where career advice, information, or any other as deemed relevant by the group may be provided.

Specific Objectives of the Group

1)  Representation and Industrial Relation:

In collaboration with other groups and associations, Kisumu Hotel Managers Group is a principal voice for the members to the government and other agencies on matters of regulations, licensing, and policy.
The Association promotes and protects harmonious industrial relations among employers, employees, associations, groups and the government. This is majorly done through mutual negotiations and offering professional advice in situations of disputes.

2. Information

We play a major role in dissemination of crucial information to our member concerning government regulations, policies, Acts of parliament, Human resource development opportunities and job vacancies and other personal growth chances in business and investments.

We also organize talk shows where topical issues are discussed with the industry leaders.

3) Accreditation and certification

Membership to our group gives individual manager an invaluable stamp of recognition, of belonging to an important and reputable organization in the hospitality fraternity. It affords them a forum to air their views, discuss common problems, and present a united front as the most fundamental sub-sector of the tourism industry.

The Kisumu Hotel Managers Group includes a gifted team of hotel professionals with skill sets acquired both domestically and internationally through experience. We have team members who are well versed and educated from renowned hospitality programs

We are focused on creating an atmosphere where superior quality and service is the standard through continuously discussing in forums on topical issues which are affecting performance. Amongst other important area of coverage revolves around sharing of expertise ideas on renovation, rebranding, and repositioning of our hotels. . We take as personal responsibility to ensure that all our members maintain practicing the business and ethical core values.
